The Scarecrows

Duet of stilt walkers with music and dancing
All public - All language

Two giant scarecrows emerge from a pile of scrap metal.
They say: “Careful, let us not be too sharp on anyone!” But this metal character, so awkward… its legs made of tin cans, makes a catchy, striking banjo and kazoo music. Impressive, strange and ridiculous at the same time, one does not distinguish any expression in his eyes, it has a sort of mechanical coldness. Fortunately, its merry music reassures us somewhat of its intentions. During this time his friend, radiating sunshine, his face ragged like wood, whistles and sees himself as a bird. He plays with people, touches them and invites them to dance with him. The catchy folk music becomes a slow waltz with older partners, later a child dashes between the stilts to the circus music, then suddenly they stop, like two broken toys. The public is puzzled, children try to get near, one of them even tries to touch one of the characters which suddenly wakes up. The other does not wake so easily…. The public must do something.

It is not possible to describe all the situations, like the shovel hitting the strainer, or the trials and tribulations of the scarecrows, because to open a door, enter a store is already an adventure for these naïve, curious and awkward characters.

One of the characteristics of this show is its close relationship with the public.
